• The Barbados Museum, (St. Ann's Garrison, St. Michael) exhibits of the island's history from the Indians to the natural resources.

Inland

• Welchman Hall Gully, (St. Thomas 809-438-6671) tropical garden with exotic plants and animals.

• Harrison's Cave, (Welchman Hall, St. Thomas 809-438-6640) an electric tram carries visitors deep into caves to view stalactites and deep pools.

• The Flower Forest, (St. Joseph 809-433-8152) botanical garden standing 850 feet above sea level.

St. Michael & St. George Parishes

• Tyrol Cot Heritage Village, (Codrington Hill, St. Michael 809-424-2074) Home of the leader of the Bajan movement for independence, Sir Grantley Adams, built in the mid-1850s.

• Francia Plantation, (St. George 809-429-0474) Old family plantation home housing antiques from the 18th century as well as a 1522 West Indies map.

• Gun Hill Station, (Hwy. 4, 809-429-1358) Lookout station built in 1818 for the British military that provides a panoramic view of the island.
