Welcome to Cayman Islands!
Currently a 'hotspot' in the Caribbean for vacationers, the Cayman Islands comprise three
islands - Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman - located 480 miles due south of
Miami.
Once dubbed "The Islands That Time Forgot," these islands are today remembered
by people who visit them as being clean, relatively crime-free, prosperous,
politically-stable and absolutely charming!
This is the place to go for great diving, fishing, water sports, duty-free shopping, golf
- and, not least of all, relaxation!
The average year-round temperature in this tropical paradise is 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
A tax-free British territory, English is the language of the Cayman Islands' approximately
34,000 permanent residents.
The Cayman Islands dollar is the local currency (CI$1.00 = US$1.20), but U.S. currency is
widely accepted, and most restaurants and businesses accept major credit cards.
The world's largest island financial center, the Caymans are the registered home to more
than 500 banks and are the world's second largest domicile (after Bermuda) for captive
insurance companies. Not surprisingly, Caymanians enjoy the highest standard of living in
the Caribbean.

Several U.S. airlines offer daily scheduled
service to Grand Cayman, including American Airlines (800-433-7300), Northwest Airlines
(800-447-4747), and USAir (800-622-1015). Cayman Airways (800-422-9626) is the country's
national airline and operates the most flights from the U.S., including three daily
flights from Miami. Air Jamaica and Cayman Airways offer service between Grand Cayman and
Jamaica.
TRAVELING TO CAYMAN BRAC & LITTLE CAYMAN
Cayman Airways and Island Air operate regular scheduled flights from Grand Cayman To
Cayman Brac, with Island Air also providing service between Cayman Brac and Little
Cayman. For reservations, call toll free from the U.S.: Cayman Airways, 1-800-G-CAYMAN;

required for all other visitors. Tourists normally will be allowed to enter and reside for

Landscape: The Cayman Islands, unlike most Caribbean islands, are NOT of volcanic

central limestone bluff.
